Hi all,
We are going to NYC Nov 16 to 19. I would like to know what to wear? Here we are wearing sweaters in Nova Scotia, but will be into fall jackets in Nov. I have not looked into NYC weather history yet and thought I could cheat by asking here.:) Also, at an Irish pub here, we would wear jeans and sweater ....that kind of thing and to a play we would wear same or a little dressier....anything goes really....what would the norm by in NYC ...at these place plus...cocktail bars, dinner...nicer spot..
Thank-you so much
oh, we a couple in our early 40%26#39;s, if that helps
what to wear?
Check out the weather history and predictions. Well fitted jeans will work for both day and night depending on shoes, tops/shirts, and jackets/coats. Dress it up a bit for evening. Skip the big white walking shoes for dinner. Call in advance for restaurant dress codes.
what to wear?
well we don%26#39;t own any white walking shoes, not for another 20 years maybe!!! :)
can someone tell me what it typically is like mid November...the weather is up and down historically. ...from lows of 32 and highs of 58....quite a difference. I can only get last years averages on 3 different sites. Should we count on it being winter jacket weather is what I wanted to know.
I have gone onto pub websites, and I was surprised that we basically wear the same kind of thing....very csual trendy....great....famlly has went to NYC and tell us it is more casual than I would think.
However, if you were to go to a play in London England, you would sport a different attire than in Ottawa, Canada and different again in Halifax, Nova Scotia.....Ottawa is much more formal when it comes to their plays, in London, anything goes and here, it depends on the play.
So, in saying that would a Broadway play call for casual to semi-formal or just semi-formal...
Thank-you muchly!
