Searching for a review of Mary Poppins on Broadway

Did anyone see it this week when it opened on Broadway? Let us hear how it was.

It opens today in previews, the official opening, when it is reviewed by the critics, is November 16th.

I am sure people who see it will give you their thoughts, but it may take a couple of days, as it is just starting today, Saturday, October 14th.

I%26#39;m going to see it tonight, i%26#39;ll write a review when i get home then.

Can%26#39;t wait to read the review...as I%26#39;m seeing it on Wednesday

I saw it in London, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It%26#39;s the same production here.

I went last night, had $60 seats 3rd row of balcony. I really enjoyed the show. It is quite lavish which reflects Disney money i guess. Lots of magic, and surprises, singing and dancing. One early glitch stopped the show for 15 minutes so Schumacher, one of the producers, came onstage to excuse them. It was neat to see him. The singing was great, the two kids last night were super, i thought they were English, their accents were great, but they were American. Acting was faultless for all. I didn%26#39;t have any kids with me or nearby although i did see a lot going in with their parents. I could hear one little kid yelling ';Mary Poppins'; and another squealed with delight at one point so i hope this means that kids enjoy the show too.

The cast got a standing ovation. I stood because of the glitch that must%26#39;ve been so off-putting yet they excelled themselves, and for a couple of the daring feats that were performed. My fav broadway show is still 42nd street, no longer running of course.

Here%26#39;s a link to the review of both the original London production and the replacement cast. The wonderful Gavin Lee is now on Broadway.
