After many many hours on this site, trawling through the vast amount of threads, we have just 1 more week to go for our very first trip to NY.
The trip is to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and we鈥檒l be joined by our 7 years old daughter鈥︹€o planning was essential.
We could not go without saying a big THANK YOU to everyone who takes the time to respond to the threads and by giving their constructive and accurate points of view, without making the author feel stupid for asking the question in the first place.
However a big THANK YOU has to go to Daisiegee, GreenWhiteBlue and Bettina NTC as they seem to get involved with most of the threads on here :-) lol.
Your time and efforts (along with everyone else) has helped us make our planning both realistic and achievable,
So all that鈥檚 left for us to do know is sit back and wait until next Sunday鈥︹€︹€︹€︹€︹€︹€?which is going to be really hard, as to say we are excited is an understatement!!!!!
Thanks again

A special thank you!!!!
Have a wonderful trip, and we look forward to hearing all about your NYC adventures.
A special thank you!!!!
Thankyou Brummy (I%26#39;ll be heading down near your way next Friday to my sisters in Banbury!). I hope you have a fabulous trip and that all 3 of you have the best time. I wish I was still there. Congratulations on your anniversary as well.
Happy Anniversary to you! Hope you have a wonderful time, it should be gorgeous when you%26#39;re here. Central Park is about a week away from peak color, so be sure to spend time there.
Daisiegee, I%26#39;ve just taken a stroll down ';your'; street, but without the walking tour print-out. One day I%26#39;ll actually have it with me. Anyway, just thinking of you. By the way, I picked up the little something we talked about.... I%26#39;ll mail it on Monday.
I say ';ditto!'; I used to live in the City, but I have learned so much, and especially from those you mentioned,Brummy-they take the time to help, and they are so friendly.
Hi Brummy from another Brummy! We too(two!) are going next weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and have spent months reading all the posts on TA. I agree that all the people who give the benefit of their knowledge and experience are fantastic and I%26#39;m sure we will benefit from it next week. Hope you have a fabulous time. Look out for a couple of %26#39;bluenoses%26#39; wandering round probably looking lost and trying to forget yesterday%26#39;s result!
judyindisguise: where are you flying from. We are going with Continental Airline next Sunday from Birmingham.
So you have 15 years extra experiance in the marriage department than us, that give me hope LOL.
Brummy - I hope you have a great time! Sounds like there will be quite a few of us there next weekend. We fly out on Wednesday for 5 nights.
Bettina - I%26#39;m glad to hear that the Central Park foliage is coming along nicely. I%26#39;ll certainly be spending a bit of time there next weekend.
We are flying with AerLingus to Dublin on Saturday and then on to NY on Sunday. Believe it or not this was cheaper than flying direct -even taking account of the hotel stopover. We arrive at JFK at 1.00pm.
We may have an extra 15 years experience in the marriage stakes but it really doesn%26#39;t feel like it. I%26#39;m sure I%26#39;m not old enough to have been married that long! I remember my parent%26#39;s 25th and they were really ancient!!!
Green, green - envy coloured green!
Hope you all have a wonderful time in a wonderous city. Just wish it was me!!!
