I%26#39;m sure this has been asked before....where do you go for an after -theater drink,that has a great view of the city ????

Approximate cost of cover charge ??

Drink With A View

Go to The View atop the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The food ain%26#39;t great, but you can go just for a drink. The room revolves so it%26#39;s fun. Expect to pay $10-$14 per drink, plus tip, depending on your libation preference.

Thanks for your suggestion...that was one I was considering and I know their elevator ride was a minimal fee !!

Top of the Rock is the observation deck, not a bar. But in that same building is the Rainbow Grill (restaurant but there is also a cocktail lounge), and they have a great view of the Empire State Building (it is not a 360 lounge, however, like the Marriott Marquis).

At any of these places window tables are on a FCFS basis but there is usually a nice view from anywhere in the room.

The bar at the top of the Peninsula Hotel has a beautiful view of Central Park. No cover charge, but the drinks are expensive. Beer and wine are about 9 dollars, a cocktail is about 17.
