I%26#39;m travel into the city on Sunday, Although I%26#39;ve been there several times I have never drove in from the Poconos. We plan to visit midtown and canal street. Any advice??
Best place to park?
Thanks

Now, you don%26#39;t have to pay the parking meters on Sunday (unless a sign is posted) so you have more places to park on the street.
If you want a garage, Icon Parking is a reliable chain of parking garages all over Manhattan.

Have you thought about taking a bus? I recently visited a friend%26#39;s house near Allentown, PA, and took the Bieber Bus Line from Port Authority. It worked out very well!

The Poconos are served by Martz Bus Lines. http://www.martzpoconos.com/
Their prices are pretty high but you have the peace of mind of having someone else do the driving, and you do save on gas and tolls. They will likely get you into NYC faster than if you drove your car yourself.
I still notice many signs have not been updated as Sundays no longer require that you feed the meter. Around Canal Street, it is always tough to find parking as weekends are always crowded. Depending on what cross streets you will be near, I often drive around the West Broadway area and often get lucky. Best of luck.
