while in the great city i will reach the age of maturity,any ideas what would make it something to remember or a nice restaurant to go to..we will have a teenager with us so wild nightclubs are out..love any style of chinese food and steaks in fact any food will do.

Congrats car39 on the upcoming birthday. One of my favorites is Blue water grill located in Union Square. Just google this and you will find their website with their menu. Food is excellent no matter which entree you choose but their Filet Mignon is heavenly. I will say that the acoustics there isn%26#39;t the best as they are often packed and therefore the noise level can be high. This could be said of many restaurants in New York though.

Also google New York best restaurants and you%26#39;ll come up with a ton of information. I just looked up Zagats and found that blue water grill was one of the top 5 most popular new york restaurants (did not know that).

If you find yourself in Chinatown for breakfast or brunch, look up Dim Sum a Go Go. Excellent dim sum and I would add higher quality food than some of the restaurants the locals frequent. A bit higher in price too but I prefer it. Have a great trip.

For an upscale Chinese restaurant with a very New York City atmosphere, I would try China Grill in the CBS building. The food is served family style and is delicious. Your teenager will love the style of the restaurant. Congrats on your birthday! What a great city in which to enjoy your big day! Moms

thanks moms we have 5 nights so we will try out those places ,this TA is great for getting ideas as i feel last time we were there we did,nt have a clue where to go
