Will be overnighting in New York, on my way to San Juan. I%26#39;ve been to New York once before, so I%26#39;ve seen the major attractions.
Is it feasible to do Central Park, visit Madison Square Garden, and then go see Hairspray at night? I will be in New York from noon until 9am the next day.
How far are these attractions from one another?
thanks for everybody%26#39;s help.

Central Park and Hairspray in one day is very feasible. They are about a mile away from each other (just to the park%26#39;s entrance, and of course, Central Park extends way beyond that.)
Just curious, what do you want to see in Madison Square Garden? It%26#39;s a sports arena, but not that exciting when there%26#39;s no game being played. Anything specific?

I agree with queensblvd about Madison Sq Garden. But if you haven%26#39;t been to Grand Central lately, it%26#39;s worth it, And Museum of Modern Art has been fully refurbished and re-opened...an easy stroll from Central Park on the way to the Theatre Disctirct. Maybe on your way to the theatre.
Thanks for your help.
Will probably just do Central Park and the theatre District.
Now I need to search the maps of how to get from Newark to NY.
