I will be in New York City from 23rd to the 29th November. We fly in on Thanksgiving and I was wondering if anyone could advise me of restaurants I could have my thanksgiving dinner in? My husband is vegetarian (awkward I know!) so it would help if the restaurant could offer a vegetarian alternative. Also, will all the Christmas decor be up in this week. I know I%26#39;m missing the lighting of the tree at the Rockefellar Centre by a few hours, damnit! But will most other things be up?
November in New York
All the holiday decorations will be up when you%26#39;re here, except for the Rock Center tree. Well, it%26#39;ll be up but not lit yet. Don%26#39;t miss the holiday gift bazaars that open the day after Thanksgiving. The best ones are Union Square, Bryant Park and Grand Central Terminal.
Opentable.com will soon have info on restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner. Here%26#39;s a link:

Most places will offer a vegetarian option as well as traditional choices.
