Vegetarian Restaurants, Cafes

Here are a few that I like, but remember that you can get vegetarian options in most places. Are you vegan?

You can get fruit, bagels, breads etc in most breakfast places.

PIzza is a good option, if you eat cheese.

I enjoy Zen Palate, 3 locations in town:

There are lots of hummus places, I like The Hummus Place %26amp; Mamoun%26#39;s, both in the Village on MacDougal St - good %26amp; cheap.

Candle 79 on the upper east side is one of the nicer dinner places and it%26#39;s vegan

Gobo in 2 locations is also very good (Asian)

Home on 8th is in a convenient tourist location near the ESB and Macy%26#39;s (8th ave b/w 29-30 st) and gets great reviews (vegan Chinese and other things).

I didn%26#39;t notice that NYCgirl had given you the menupages link. I guess great minds think alike. ;';)

From the restaurant hot list pinned above:

Hangawi (Korean Buddhist vegetarian)

Dimple (Indian Kosher)

Madras Cafe

Zan Palate

Upscale restaurants with veggie tasting menues on request:

Gramercy Tavern

Tabla (Indian and wonderful!!!)

Cafe Boulud

Bouley

Daniel

Devi

There is a vegan Asian place of Montague Street in Brooklyn that is really good. It%26#39;s called The Green%26#39;s. I%26#39;m not even a vegetarian, but if I lived closer to there I may become one.

Many Thanks Everyone!!

Lots of great choices there to keep hunger at bay for three weeks ;-)
