Bringing back Duty Free to UK

With the new security regulations. Can you still bring back duty free from Newark to Belfast? Duty free as in bottles of spirits?

You can%26#39;t take any liquids through security if you are transferring at any UK airport, where are you flying to and on which flights, if you are flying NY to an airport, then another flight to Belfast you couldn%26#39;t buy any. Eg. we have just returned Shanghai to Heathrow to Newcastle we couldn%26#39;t buy any thing in Shanghai as you go through another security check at Heathrow and you are not allowed any liquids. If you are only taking 1 flight in total home you can buy liquids after security

We are going directly from Newark to Belfast, no transfers.

My sister has just returned from South Africa and they flew to Heathrow and then onto Belfast, they were allowed to take through their duty free (that they got in SA) if they could produce their duty free receipt. they were ok as they still had their receipt but others had their bottles taken off them.

Hi we just flew back on Friday into Dublin we bought duty free at airport and then picked it up as we boarded the plane (saved carrying it around airport) should be the same into Belfast

Thats good to know, I was very confused reading BA%26#39;s instructions!, they said you couldn%26#39;t by any Duty Free until after your security check in the UK which is of course too late if you are then flying internally.

Thanks Elle! We used Dublin last year as it was cheaper but it was over 拢400 cheaper to go from Belfast this year - strange! Hope you had a good time.
