As a first time visitor to New York is it better to pre-book tickets to the TOTR? I am travelling oct21-28 what time is sunset? I would like to make sure I see the views around about this time

There was quite large queues last weekend. We went up weekdays and no queue at all.

I was in NY last weekend and visited the TOTR on Sunday afternoon. No queues for tickets or to get up in the lift. Stunning views. Knocks spots off the view from the Empire State Building which we also went to and had to wait 90 minutes to get to the top.

Make sure you go before it gets dark or you will miss the great views of Central Park. It was getting dark last weekend between 6.35 and 6.45pm.
