recommend flight and hotel deals, ireland to new york

HI there, I%26#39;m aiming to return to new york for a few days around september 11th. I haven%26#39;t been there since 1998 and I want to go alone to pay homage as it were for personal reasons.( I don%26#39;t mean to sound morbid). I used to stay across the bay in Rockaway beach where I had fantastic times. I would appreciate advice on any flight and hotel deals(inclusive), in Manhatten this time. Can anyone recommend a good website/company where I can get a good deal?. The Irish national airline is very expensive at the moment - in my personal opinion. Thank you very much.

I%26#39;m not even sure you can find airfares now for next September 11th. Most (all?) airlines only sell tickets 330 days in advance. But I guess they would be coming online soon.

The options from Ireland are somewhat limited if you don%26#39;t want to go with Aer Lingus. Look at Continental, they fly into Newark, or Delta, they fly into JFK. (I%26#39;m assuming that Shannon is easier than Dublin coming from Tralee?)

We always seem to get a better deal going with travelsupermarket.com and simply combining a flight deal with hotel. Booking well in advance will certainly give you the best deal on flights. We are a bit restricted, as you know ,trying to get good priced deals from an island , but if you will go Shannon/Gatwick/N.Y. its a better deal. We flew Delta to N.Y. from Dublin...very poor entertainment!

Booking an all inclusive, American Holidays have great last minute deals..if you can hold your nerve!
