Great choice! Congratulations.
Will you be arriving in time to celebrate the Halloween Parade in the Village? What a first night that%26#39;d be!
ooh a parade!I didn%26#39;t know anything about that - must go and investigate further.....!!!
Many congrats ... and do check things out for Halloween in NYC - it%26#39;s a HUGE event in the West Village!
Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage - you certainly are making your plans well in advance!
You will absolutely adore the QM2 - we did the transatlantic trip to NY earlier this year, arriving in time for Indpendence Day on 4th July. This was my first time on a cruise, but hopefully it won%26#39;t be the last, and the QM2 was fantastic!
Do you know which hotel you will be staying in when you are in NY yet? I have to say, we weren%26#39;t very happy with the one we stayed at.

could you please tell me when you did the crossing i want to go in june i just dont know about the weather in london and in mid atlantic on the qe2 thanx
In answer to your question 2/15/48, we departed Southampton on the QM2 on 27th June this year, arriving in Brooklyn New York on Monday 3rd July. The weather in Southampton was sunny and warm when we left. However, the weather on the crossing was changeable, so I%26#39;m afraid you may have to take clothing to account for all weathers. Most days it was quite chilly out on deck and very windy at times, particularly later in the evening; one night they actually closed off some of the decks, as it was felt to be dangerous to venture on to some of them. However, on one or two of the days, it was really hot and sunny - real sunbathing weather, when it was lovely to lie out on the loungers, although this was on back of the ship, where the sun fell on it best and it was much less breezy. We got up early when we were due to arrive in Brooklyn and went out onto deck at about 4.30 am, when we were surprised to find how warm it was, particularly at that time of the morning - we certainly didn%26#39;t need our coats. I have to say this was one part of the trip that I enjoyed the most - to see New York in darkness, passing under the Brooklyn Bridge and past the Statue of Liberty, with them all lit up, and we were of course accompanied into the docks by the coastguard, both in boats and helicopter - it was a very special experience.
I cannot of course predict the weather you will have when you go next year, although whatever the weather, it it just the right temperature indoors and what it is doing outside does not of course affect you inside!
Anyway, I am sure you will enjoy yourself and I hope this post helps!
Kind regards,
Jacqui
